Description of The Waterstreet Hotel: Situated in a secluded waterfront community, The Waterstreet Hotel combines the old-world charm of historic downtown Port Townsend, Washington with a panoramic view of the Puget Sound, Mount Baker, the Cascade Mountains and the majestic Olympic Mountains. Even with such magnificent glimpses of nature, the hotel is within walking distance of downtown shops, restaurants, and the Port Townsend/Keystone Ferry. The Waterstreet Hotel, with waterfront rooms and suites, occupies the second and third floors of the historic N.D. Hill Building, built in 1889 and completely renovated in 1990. It was designed by Seattle architect Elmer H. Fisher, whose work also included Port Townsend's Hastings Building and Seattle's famous Pioneer Building. Fine craftsmanship is displayed in the brickwork and metal craft of the hotel, which was featured on Port Townsend's 2004 Historic Homes Tour.
